Dear Constituent, Thank you for contacting my office regarding tickets to the 2013 Inaugural Swearing-in of President Barack Obama at the U.S. Capitol. Due to a high volume of interest in attending this event, my office received several hundred requests for tickets. The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies provided each office with less than two hundred tickets and therefore, we were unable to accommodate all of the requests we received. Unfortunately, all those receiving tickets have been notified. There are many opportunities to take part in the day’s festivities. Large portions of The National Mall will be open for the swearing-in ceremony with the parade to follow. Please visit www.inaugural.senate.gov for more information.
